About Me

I invite you to check out my resume or read more about how I got here below.

My writing career started with a high school basketball game, a last-minute phone call, and absolutely no idea it would turn into a career.

I was a junior in high school and already planning to attend the Battle for the Bell, the big Maumee-Perrysburg rivalry game, when the city paper's sports editor called. Could I do her a favor? Take some notes. Grab a few quotes. Help my mom's friend get what she needed to go to print.

Sure.

I knew basketball. I knew the history. I knew what a pinch she was in. So I paid attention, did some giggly interviews, and wrote my little 16-year-old heart out. It was fun. And now it was my future.

Because that favor turned into an internship. The internship turned into a full-time job at the county paper. And eventually, sports writing blossomed into a 15+ year career in digital marketing.

Since then, my writing has taken me from basketball courts to local businesses, Amazon and eCommerce brands, and home service companies. Along the way, I’ve written product listings, blogs, landing pages, emails, newsletters, brand scripts, social media posts, and plenty in between.

Today, there’s more to think about—search intent, SEO, AEO, LLMs, conversion strategy, Google algorithm updates, and yes, AI.

But the job still starts the same way for me: know what I’m writing about, understand who I’m writing for, and find the clearest way to connect the two.

And meet the deadline. Always meet the deadline.

Now, I'm looking for my next opportunity to put that experience to work with a company that values smart, useful content and wants to keep growing in smart, useful ways. I’m a quick learner, a creative thinker, and always looking for ways to improve my skillset.

If you’re looking for a dedicated copywriter who can jump in on day one, I’m your gal. Let’s start a conversation!
